Coach Andre Spencer brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and talent to the Orion International Academy Sports Program. As founder of the highly successful West Coast Warriors Youth Basketball organization Coach Spencer has also represented the National Basketball Association (NBA) and European Basketball professional leagues with fifteen years of experience. Additionally, Coach Spencer has served as Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach at private school Lycee France in Los Feliz California.

Coach Spencer attended Bakersfield Community College before transferring to the University of Northern Arizona where he averaged 14.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game and graduated with a bachelors degree in Sociology. A native of California, Coach Spencer student-athlete commitment is demonstrated by his success and the numerous players of his accepted into San Diego State, California State University Stanislaus, Dominguez Hills, University California Riverside, Cal. State Santa Cruz, Cleveland State, and Eastern Michigan to name a few.

Standing at 1.98 meters tall, Coach Spencer excelled at the power forward position earning him a spot on several NBA rosters including the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, and Sacramento Kings during his playing career. As a prolific low-post scorer Coach Spencer averaged 18pts, six rebounds, and two assists and one steal per game during his professional career. Coach Spencer’s European connections and influence have positioned him to attract the kids of many of his former teammates and opponents to the benefit of Orion International.  As one of California most notable players, Orion International welcomes Coach Spencer to our team.
